I have always been prohibited from disclosing Information about any of my clients by IRS regulations. This year, and in years to come, I am required to give you the privacy policy of Economy Tax Service.

I do not disclose any information about my clients or former clients to anyone, except as required by law. Period.

I will not disclose any information to a third party without your consent in advance.

I maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard your personal information.

In this information age we should protect our personal information as much as we can. That means your Social Security number, date of birth, credit card numbers, names of your spouse and children, your drivers license number, etc, should NOT be given out without specific reason to do so. Every time you fill out a form or application it goes into a database somewhere and is available to anyone who can get access to that computer. That includes government agencies. Now, if you trust these faceless individuals to do the right thing with that information you're a whole lot more at ease with them than I am. Ask anyone wanting that information just exactly "WHY" that information is critical to what they are doing.
